Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 8th Grade Championship Analysis

With many areas of the country always arguing about who has the best basketball talent it was apparent this past weekend in Neptune, NJ that the DMV/Baltimore area might be on top. With the three major shoe companies trying to stock pile talent starting in the late middle school years hopefully gaining allegiances from players and parents for the long haul through high school two shoe company teams were front and center when the dust settled. Nike Team Takeover from the DMV versus the newly Under Armour sponsored B’More United Team Thrill was for all the marbles. You hear people say less is more but in both these team’s cases more is more and they have done the stockpiling of talent in their respective areas that is only a short ride up or down I95. It was 9 versus 9 with all the players on both sides being able to be the guy on another team but rather they decided to play on a super team that can bring different benefits for their basketball careers. All 18 players are highly rated players in their region. When the dust settled Team Takeover pulled away late in the second half to win 54 to 34. Takeover was up 29 to 21 at halftime.

Team Takeover Top Performers

MVP- Terrance Williams Forward (Team Takeover) – Williams just knows how to play to his strengths. He always has been an elite finisher around the basket as he knows how to use his body to finish against longer defenders. Terrance has extended his range out to the 3pt line as he knocked one down in the chip and his consistency on his mid-range jump shot is evident along with making a high percentage of his FT’s. Always an elite rebounder and passer for his position he finished with 19 points against B’More United, 19 in the semi against the Gauchos, 16 in pool play against Hilltoppers Heat and 18 against Team Loaded in pool play.

Hunter Dickinson Center (Team Takeover) – Standing at 6’11” he is hard to miss standing in the center of the zone or posting up on the low block. Hunter is moving better and has improved his rebounding. A high IQ player with a good feel for the game that knows when to shoot or pass. Dickinson knows how to work the high post and find his players for easy shots or shoot a jumper of his own where you might not find a center that has a shooting touch like him anywhere in the country. Right now his biggest strength is blocking or altering shots in the lane on defense. Hunter has also improved his baby hooks and finishing around the basket.

Earl Timberlake Forward (Team Takeover) – Earl does everything good which makes him a matchup nightmare. An athletic long player that can play point forward if needed as he is one of the best passers on the team. He scores right now mostly in transition or attacking the rim in the half court. With an improved jump shot Timberlake will be one of those players that is next to impossible to stop. Timberlake rebounds at a high level and has the ability to push the ball putting pressure on the defense. Earl also can guard 1 through 4 and is playing above the rim. A 5 category contributor, he had 10 point’s against B’More United in the chip.

B’More United Team Thrill Top Performers

Jordan Toles Forward (B’More United) – Probably the most athletic player in the region, Toles is a high flyer that thrives in transition. His motor is off the charts. Jordan can defend 1 through 4 at this age and with a developing jumper he is poised to move over to the off guard position as he moves into high school next year. He had 13 points against both the Gauchos and Team Final both in pool play. He can be a five category contributor.

Justin Lewis Forward (B’More United) – Standing at 6’6” he might be the best prospect on this team. Justin is very athletic and plays above the rim in transition. He can score around the rim and rebound at a high level. A very unselfish player with a good feel for the game, once Justin adds a consistent mid-range jump shot he will continue to catapult his already lofty status as one of the elite in the DMV. Justin is very young and if he can add a few more inches to his already strong frame we are looking at a player that many other players and coaches would love to have on their team.

Rahim Ali Guard (B’More United) – Ali has good court vision and understands how to get his teammates the ball using passing angles. He has some flash to his game so you often see him drop a nifty no look pass. He also has the ability to knock down mid to long range jumpers out to the 3pt line. Rahim possesses that tough Baltimore guard mentality. He had 11 points against Team Final in pool play.

AJ Hoggard (Team Final)

The 8th Grade Division of the Clash For The Cup was stacked with some of the top players in the region. Here’s Part 2 of our top performers from the event.

Clash For The Cup 8th Grade Top Performers Part 2

A.J. Hoggard Guard (Team Final) – A.J. led his team to the semifinal where they lost to eventual runner up Baltimore United Team Thrill. Hoggard is a big PG with a long wing span. He gets in the paint at will and either kicks the pill out to a shooter or drops it down to a big. Has a nice pull up and when his 3 ball is on he is pretty much unstoppable. Next in his maturation process will be a commitment to locking up on Defense.

Lance Ware Forward (Team Final) – Ware passes the look test. He is a long wiry forward that can move very well. As he continues to develop and grow he should become a big time prospect for Team Final. He was the second leading scorer behind Hoggard in their semifinal loss.

Ishmael Leggett Guard (Team Takeover) – High motor guard combo guard, finishes well in transition, can knock down mid-range jump shot, has good range to 3pt line, rebounds well for position, locks up on defense

Chuck Harris Guard (Team Takeover) – Big combo guard, looks to score at all three levels, has good range past 3pt line, always in attack mode, good FT shooter.

C.J. Robinson Guard (Gauchos) – This strong bodied point guard can get anywhere he wants on the floor. C.J. lives in the lane and constantly puts pressure on the defense. Most guards do not have the strength and quickness at this level to do what he does. Robinson must improve his decision making at times but you can’t teach what this kid has.

Josiah Freeman Forward (Team Takeover) – Small forward that can play the two guard, pure scorer that is looking for his shot and stays in attack mode whether shooting the 3 ball, mid-range pull up or finishing in transition

R.J. Davis Guard (Gauchos) – The other half of the alphabet duo R.J. is the scoring guard that plays beside C.J. He is a very familiar face on the circuit. He is an elite scorer that can score from all three levels but his strength is his 3pt shooting ability. He wasn’t on like he usually is but we saw flashes. Next in his maturation process will be his ability to transition to the lead guard as that is where he will end up playing at the next level.

Tyshawn Scott (CTA Turbo)

The Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 8th Grade Division had some of the top talent in the region. Here’s our third and final look at this grade level.

Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup Top Performers Part 3

Tyshawn Scott Forward (CTA Turbo) – This kid exudes athleticism. Scott has a great frame and he might have had the play of the weekend as he came down the lane and caught a thunderous put back dunk in traffic. One contest we watched he finished with 16 points. We saw him knock down some mid-range jumpers but Scott excels finishing around the basket either in the half court or in transition.

Myles Stute Forward (Team Takeover – Orange) – Standing at about 6’5” he is the best player and prospect on the Takeover 2nd team which is a very competitive team as they came out first out of their pool. Stute was the main reason why as he loved to stroke the trey ball but he could also go mix it up in inside. Two games he finished with 17 (five 3pt) and another 15 (two 3pt) so that is twelve 3pt in three games.

Elijah Everett Forward (NJ Playaz) – Everett could be the next big star for Jimmy Salmons. He is a mobile power forward that gives you consistent production. He can score with his back to the basket or facing up, rebounds at a high level and plays good interior defense as he blocks many shots. He is a big time prospect. He finished with 14 points in the game we watched.

Kaleb Peterson Guard (Team Loaded 757) – Peterson is a strong fast guard that has a great motor. Right now he scores best in transition. Kaleb is another one that always seems to be around the ball. He is a good rebounder for his position and can guard 1 through 3.

Noah Farrakhan Guard (Playaz)- Farrakhan proved to be one of the best guards in the region in their showdown with Havoc City. The floor general put on a show including 23 points and a bunch of dimes. He’s extremely difficult to slow down because he has an array of moves. He also has explosive leaping ability which he showed on a thunderous follow-up dunk.
Jordan Lewis Guard (Team Loaded 757) – Lewis is always in attack mode which puts pressure on the opposing defenses. He knows how to get in the seams of the defense in the half court and he is a good enough athlete to finish against size at the rim. Jordan also thrives in transition. We didn’t see him shoot many jumpers when we watched but once this is added to his game he will be tough to stop.

Marcus Dockery Guard (Havoc City Elite) – Dockery is a scoring machine. The southpaw can stroke it from deep behind the 3pt line. Dockery can also finish well around the basket either in the half court or in transition. He finished with 21 points in one contest and 14 points in another.
Zai Roberts Forward (Team Loaded 757) – This power forward plays hard all the time. He seems to always be around the ball whether he is grabbing a tough rebound or diving on the floor for a loose ball. Zai finishes good around the rim and can hit short range jump shots. He is the heart and soul of his squad.

Cam Byers Forward (B’More United) – Cam is a strong power forward that isn’t afraid to mix it up inside. He has a patented spin move and he can finish with either hand around the basket or in transition.

Caleb Dorsey Forward (B’More United) – Caleb just reclassed so he is new to this class. Standing 6’4” he has good perimeter skills and a nice jumper out to the 3pt line.

Corey Barnes Guard (B’More United) – Corey is a great team player with a great approach to the game. He can play multiple positions and he can do everything well including strapping you up on defense.

Eligah Hawkins and Bray Freeman (New World Unlimited)

Eligah Hawkins and Bray Freeman out of Maryland are an extremely impressive guard duo who are extremely hard to guard once in rhythm. While Freeman is a smooth scoring guard, Hawkins is a very active ball handler and often finds his teammates open whenever he needs to. They lost to Team Takeover also out of Maryland by 1 in the semi-finals of the Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup tournament.

Kino Lilly (Team Takeover)

The Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 7th Grade Division had some great battles and some of the top players in the region. Here’s our first look at the top performers from this event.

Clash For The Cup 7th Grade Top Performers Part 1

Kino Lilly Guard (Team Takeover)-Lilly plays with great pace and he is always on balance (utilizes the jump stop) when converting play after play. He can knock down jump shots from all over the court and he's an excellent driver (solid 1st step) as well. He is one of the few players that have a solid mid-range game to boot and he appears to be getting more confident with each event. He nailed 5 treys for Team Takeover in the finals.

Trevor Keels Guard (Team Takeover)- Keels has grown a little and trimmed up from last season. You can see the explosiveness in his game. He’s quicker when attacking the lane and finishing at the cup. This quickness also helps him on the defensive end as he shown to move his feet better. His development is crucial in this team’s success.

Jalen Hall Guard (Team Takeover)-He's as skilled and smart as they get but his intangibles are what separate him. He plays with unwavering confidence and just enough cockiness to maximize his talents. It's that type of mindset that allows him to thrive in the big moments. When TTO needed a bucket it was Hall who got the job done.

Malcolm Dread Forward (Team Takeover)- Dread was consistent on the wing all weekend. He has good size and is fundamentally sound when he has the rock. He also shows the versatility to get anywhere he wants on the floor and score buckets. He finished the championship game with 12 markers.

Ahmad Harrison Guard (Baltimore United Thrill)- Harrison is definitely a player we will keep an eye on. He showed promise at our national camp and has carried over into the circuit. He’s a proven play maker and scorer. He brings good size to the table and isn’t afraid to use it.

Dewan Montague Forward (Baltimore United Thrill)- Montague is a long, developing forward prospect with a very high ceiling. He's still raw and inexperienced, but shows flashes of becoming a dominant force in time, particularly on the defensive end.

Karell Booker Guard (Baltimore United Thrill)- Booker is a combo guard that showed the skill to score especially in the championship. He showed the ability to score at the cup or knock down the long range shot. He brought an A game effort in the finals.

Rayuan Lane Guard (Baltimore United Thrill)- Lane continues to be one of the best on the ball defenders in the region. BU Thrill is so stacked with scoring that all he has to do is run the team and make sure the rock gets to the right spots.

Terrence Putting In The Real Work!

What's up Basketball Spotlight fam!

This week I'm going to talk about school and basketball. The major snowstorm that hit gave us a whole week of school off, so I had to get back into the groove of things. We came back on Catholic Schools Week, which is a week of honoring Catholic education in the United States. On Monday we didn't have a theme. Tuesday the theme was class color day and wacky hair day. It was also student appreciation day program for the students, so we played games as a school from 1-2:00 before dismissal. Wednesday was open house and special person lunch when you can bring a family member or friend to eat with you. We also had a liturgical service in the afternoon as a school. On Thursday, our theme was jersey and crazy sock day and student appreciation day two. We did a thing called "buddy sports" where two classes pair up and do sports together, so the 8th grade class was paired up with the Kindergartners. It was really fun interacting with the little guys. Friday our theme was faith, so we held a mass from 8-9 AM in our church. After that we headed back to our classrooms and finished the day out. We also received our report cards on Friday and I ended up with a 3.9. It always feels good to get good grades! Now onto basketball.

This weekend we played our last session of Made Hoops before the championship weekend. We came into this session 8-0 and knew that the two teams we played were going to give us all they got. For our first game, we played NY Gauchos. We came out sluggish and didn't have a good game but still won going to 9-0 on the season. Our next game was a DMV rival with Team Melo. We knew we would have to come out to play hard because they were a good team. We came out and executed and won 53-14. After the game my family and I went out to eat to end the night off.

In closing, over the week I have gotten closer to God, back into the school rhythm, and played basketball. I also had the Carolina Panthers winning the Super Bowl but they lost which I was kind of mad about lol. I wanted to see Cam win it but the Broncos wanted it more! That's what it's about with every game...who wants it more. Well I'll talk to you guys later next week in diary #4!

Peace!

Drissa Traore (PSA Cardinals)

The Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 7th Grade Division had some great battles and some of the top players in the region. Here’s our final look at the top performers from this event.

Clash For The Cup 7th Grade Top Performers Part 2

Drissa Traore Forward (PSA Cardinals)- PSA Cardinals recently produced some of the top forwards in the country including NBA player Chris McCollough, Thomas Bryant of Indiana University and Chieck Diallo of the University of Kansas. Traore seems to be another potential stud coming down the pipeline. The lanky forward has potentially oozing from his veins and even showed some ability to put the ball on the deck. Once he gets the proper strength and understands the game the sky will be the limit for this kid. He was one of the Top 3 prospects at this event regardless of class.

Brayon Freeman Guard (New World)-He plays the game with a lot of energy. His motor, which never seems to stop, is a key component of the evaluation. Freeman doesn't mind emptying the tank and he's not concerned how he gets it done. He plays well in traffic and is capable of big scoring outputs at anytime from anywhere.

Malachi Smith Guard (Gauchos)-Smith is a tough and competitive point guard that can shoot the ball with range. He is a knockdown 3 point shooter off the catch and has a pretty good pull up and can also straight line drive. He passes on time and on target and has a great feel for the game. He does a good job running the team and makes good decisions as well.

Ryan Conway Guard (National Select)- Conway is a scoring guard with great range and feel for the game which allows him to help at the point. He can handle, pass and shoot and is a very complete guard especially on the offensive end of the floor led the age group in scoring nothing a 25ppg average.

Jalen Miller Guard (Playmakers)-He's got a balanced way and approach to his game. Rarely forces and makes sound decisions. Patience and poise are buzzwords with his game. Also owns a middle game and creates for himself off the dribble. Like a QB, he surveys defenses and it’s no surprise he's poised with the basketball and in the decision making process.
Demetri Stragalinos Forward (National Select)-He has a rangy frame with long arms and overall good length. He is a good athlete that can glide to the rim in transition. His stroke is smooth and his release is fairly quick. Each time out he took his game to another level. He does whatever his team needs for them to win. Demetri is a player whose stock is on the rise.

Elijah Hawkins Guard (New World Unlimited)- Hawkins has the heart of a lion in that small frame. He attacks at will sees the floor with the best of them. He also isn’t afraid to let it fly from anywhere on the floor off the dribble. He’s worth the price of admission.

Tommy Anderson Guard (National Select)- Anderson is a pure scorer with a powerful body in the backcourt. He attacks the rim in straight lines, absorbs contact without problem, and gets himself to the free-throw line in high volume. He's lethal in the open court and also an excellent finisher who combines power, athleticism, balance, and body control around the rim.

Andrew Rheubottom (Team Melo)

The 6th Grade Division of the Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup gave us a look into the bright stars of the future. Here’s our first look at the top performers.

Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 6th Grade Top Performers Part 1

Andrew Rheubottom Forward (Team Melo) – This long active forward dominated in the championship game. He played like he had something to prove and show that he was one of the country’s best front court players. Later down the line Andrew looks to project as a wing player as he continues to develop his ball handling and outside shooting. Right now he is a staple in the paint as he finishes at a high level around the basket and is a good rebounder. He finished with a game high 11 points in the championship.

Sammy Scott Guard (Team Melo) – Scott has been considered one of the top guards in the country for some time and he backed his rep up by leading his team to the Clash for the Cup crown. Sammy is a strong built PG that has a high basketball IQ. He has a great pace and feel for the game and he is very competitive. He can get anywhere on the floor he wants which allows him to score or set up his teammates with a nice assist.
Jamal Evans Forward (Team Melo) – Still more a prospect than a finished product Evans caught our eye. He is a long athlete that projects to be a wing player. Evans has a nice soft touch on his mid-range jumper and he can make it consistently. Jamal can guard 3 positions on the floor.

Donovan Leak Guard (Team Melo) – Leak is a good compliment to Scott in the backcourt. Donovan is a good ball handler that is attack mode looking to score. He can make a floater or step out to the 3pt line and knock down a long ball as we saw in the championship. He finished as the second leading scorer behind Rheubottom.
Amaral Pierre-Jerome Forward (Team Rio National) – Jerome is a tall athletic forward. He looks like the best prospect on this well coached team. Still a raw talent he shows signs that he could be a real problem down the road if he keeps working. Can move very well, finishes good around the basket, rebounds and blocks shots.

Corey Floyd Guard (Team Rio National) – This big strong wing guard has a nice jump shot. Floyd is very athletic in this 6th grade age group. Another thing we noticed is that he has great court awareness for not being a PG. Corey can also be a lock down defender and guard the 3 backcourt positions.
Mason Piorkowski Guard (Team Rio National) – Mason might not pass the look test in the layup line but once the ball is tipped you can immediately tell this kid is a baller. At his size he has no fear and runs the team like a seasoned veteran from the PG position. He is a coach on the floor and gets the ball to the right player in scoring position. Don’t get it twisted he can also score by knocking down a 3 pointer or hitting a floater in the lane. He was the 2nd leading scorer for his team in the championship.

Brandon Klatsky Guard (Team Rio National) – Call this kid the zone buster. As teams still love to play zone in 6th grade, Brandon is the guy that shoots you out of the zone. He has a pure stroke from behind the 3pt line and he understands his role and does it well.

Marcus Gaffney Forward (Team Rio National) – Gaffney navigates the high post like a seasoned veteran. With many teams still playing zone at this age one key to break down the defense is get the ball to the high post and Marcus is like a QB when he gets it. He has great court awareness as he is a great passer from the forward position. He is also a good finisher around the basket and can hit the free throw line jumper. He also rebounds well. He led Rio in scoring with 10 points in the championship loss.

Antonio Sellers (Gauchos)

The Clash For The Cup 6th Grade Division gave us a look into the future. Here’s a second look at the top performers in this age group.

Clash For The Cup 6th Grade Top Performers Part 2

Antonio Sellers Forward (Gauchos) – Sellers is a match up nightmare. He can take a smaller defender down in the paint or bigger defender out on the perimeter. Sellers just knows how to score the ball. He has a nice stroke out to the 3pt line and he can really knock down the jump shot. Antonio can also play point forward as he has a high basketball IQ.

Jayden Lemond Guard (60 Elite) – Lemond is the engine that makes 60 Elite go. He is a floor general that has a great pace to his game. Jayden knows when to get his teammates involved or when to score a basket on his own.

Dariq Whitehead Forward (60 Elite) – Dariq is a long athletic combo forward. As he gets older I see him moving exclusively to the perimeter but right now he makes his money in the paint. His motor and athleticism allows him to get a lot of rebound put backs and he excels on the fast break.

Matt Flipowski Forward (60 Elite) – Great size for a post man at this age. Matt has a mean streak that I like and he keeps the ball high when he receives a pass from a guard or he rebounds it off the glass. Good outlet passer and he rebounds at a high level. Matt also finishes efficiently around the basket.

Francisco Matei Forward (Riverside Hawks) – Matei is a man amongst boys at the 6th grade level. He plays so hard and is unstoppable in transition. Francisco uses his strength to clean the glass and finish around the basket in traffic.

Kameron Rodriquez Guard (Riverside Hawks) – Quick, pass first PG that loves to drop dimes to cutting teammates. High basketball IQ, Kameron never seems to get himself in trouble on the floor. He keeps his dribble and always has his head and eyes up as he is probing the defense looking to exploit their weaknesses.
Tyler Hawkins Guard (Riverside Hawks) – This strong NY guard understands how to play to his strengths. Right now that is attacking the basket off the bounce or finishing in transition. Tyler has a great first step and also is able to make nice passes finding open teammates for easy buckets. He finished with 14 points in the game we watched.

Ronald Greene Forward (New Heights) – Greene was arguably one of the better prospects in the 6th grade division. He is a long forward that moves well for his size. He is a menace on the defensive end as he knows how to block shots. With a developing offensive game he finishes well around the basketball or in transition and also rebounds at a high level.

Jordan Toles is one of the best shooting guards in the country and showed off his athleticism at the Clash For the Cup while finishing this dunk off against the New York Gauchos. Zion Cruz (Team IZOD)

The Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 6th Grade Division gave us a look into the future. Here’s a final look into this age group.

Clash For The Cup 6th Grade Top Performers Part 3

Zion Cruz Guard (Team IZOD) – Cruz is a very active wing guard. He is always in attack mode as he is looking to score that rock. He also is a good passer that excels in transition. Cruz can guard all 3 perimeter positions. He’s the ultimate scoring machine and he showed it when he scored a tournament high 30 points versus Team Future. Once he got going he appeared unstoppable at time.

Sebastian Robinson Guard (Team IZOD) – Robinson can stroke the 3 ball and we also saw him finish with either hand on the fast break. He is also a good defender that takes pride locking up his defensive assignment.

Joey Callari Forward (Team IZOD) – Callari has good size and he plays hard. Joey finishes well around the basket and he also can knock down a short jump shot. He competes for rebounds off the glass and runs the floor hard in transition.
Argel Pettit Guard (Team Final) – Scouts now say that playing hard and having a motor is a skill. This kid was a joy to watch and was one of our favorite players all weekend because he did just that. On top of that he knows how to score the ball. He is a big wing guard that finishes well on the break, can knock down the 3 pointer and he also has a nice floater in the lane. One other thing I liked was that he wasn’t afraid to get on the floor for loose balls. He finished with 13 points in the game we watched.

Chase Williams Guard (New World) – Chase is a combo scoring guard that is quick and athletic. He looks more comfortable off the ball but if needed he can run the point. Williams has range out to the 3pt line.
Dylan Williamson Guard (New World) – Dylan is a strong wing guard that can do it all. He has a smooth game and he understands how to exploit matchups. He can take a smaller defender down in the paint and post him up or take a larger defender out in space on the perimeter and go to work. Williamson is a triple double threat every time he walks on the floor. He looked very comfortable playing in his coaches system.

Wisdom Rodgers Forward (New World) – This big man with nice size holds down the paint for his squad. He rebounds well and understands his role on the team. If he continues to work in the gym on his offensive skillset Wisdom is a name we might be hearing for years to come.

Nasir Muhammad Guard (NY Lightning) – Muhammad impressed us with his point guard skills. His handle allowed him through dribble through defenses and his court vision was superb. I liked his command of the game and the poise he showed running the show.

Terrence Williams Trainers

What's up Basketball Spotlight fam,

This week I will be talking about my trainers and training schedule. I have 4 different trainers, 2 basketball skills and 2 strength and conditioning. I work out 5-6 days per week sometimes 6-7 with practice and team strength and conditioning. At least once a week, I do two-a-days. Meet my team of trainers...

Tobe Stephens (Enhanced Training Champions). Tobe was my very first strength and conditioning coach. I've been working out with him for two years now. He trains some of the top athletes like Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic (Team TTO too). Tobe helps work on my upper and lower body strength and endurance which helps me stay strong and play through contact. I work with Tobe twice a week for an hour.

Coach Shivers (Shi's Skillville). I've been working out with Coach Shi for three years. He helps me with my shooting, ball handling, and combo moves. Coach has helped me get better with my step back shot and overall shooting. I work out with Coach Shi 1-2 times per week for 2.5 hours.

Dejuan Ellis (Dejuan Ellis Sports Performance). Dejuan helps me work on explosion and speed. I do a lot of resistance training with him which helps me jump higher and move quicker during games. I've been working out with Dejuan for about a year. I workout with Dejuan about once per week for 1.5 hours.

Coach Leslie (BSI Basketball Training). Coach Leslie does a lot of fast paced movement, high intensity training while working on my skills. This workout keeps me in shape and helps me produce during the game. Coach Leslie has helped me work on my three point shot too. I work out with Coach Leslie once per week for about 2 hours.

As you can see I put in a lot of work. Nothing has been given to me. I've worked and continue to work hard. My parents support me but realize that I have to do this on my own. It's like life...it's what you make of the opportunities you're given.
